It represents the cultural richness of the department through a collection of 42 images that reflect the beauty of its natural landscapes, neoclassical architecture around the Plaza Central, religiosity, traditions, and gastronomy of the city and its municipalities.
The pictures are the work of outstanding local photographers: Harry Díaz, José Manuel del Busto, Carlos Miralbés, Luis Estacuy, Guido Velásquez, and Juan Pablo Méndez. The book “Quetzaltenango, historias de su historia” by Ing. Roberto Gutiérrez, one of the chroniclers of the city of Quetzaltenango, was the basis for the scientific script of the exhibition.
