Historical Hall of the University

It presents general information about the historical development of the three-hundred-year old Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala, the fourth university founded in the Americas. It highlights its contribution to the Guatemalan society as the leader of higher education through teaching, research, extension and services.

Art Gallery

It offers the opportunity to national and international artists and students of the plastic arts to project themselves in the artistic field, through a dynamic program of annual exhibitions. “It is the meeting place between the work, the artist and the different audiences”.

Historical Hall of the Building

It highlights the historical and architectural value of the Old University Building with more than 200 years of construction. It shows the delicate process of restoration to which it was subjected after the damages caused by the earthquakes of 1917-18 and 1976. Since 1994 it has housed the Museum of San Carlos University-MUSAC.
